Beauty and the Beast and Tarzan seem like very different movies: One shows a girl in France, and the other shows a girl in a rugged rainforest. They may seem like completely different stories, but they might be connected in one way; Jane could be Belle’s granddaughter. “How?” you may ask. Well, the first is that they look very similar. Not alike enough to be a daughter, but a granddaughter. Jane’s dress is incredibly similar to Belle’s ballroom gown. In both of the movies, the two girls fall in love with a “beast” who is trapped in a place they can’t leave. The beasts are also both persecuted by another man who tries to kill him, in the form of Clayton in Tarzan and Gaston in B&B. The last almost “Easter egg” is in Tarzan, there is a scene where the gorillas sneak into Clayton’s camp (where Jane and her father are staying) and are playing with stuff. In the magic of a Disney movie, the apes break out in a song using dinner plates and glasses as instruments. In one short scene, you can see Tarzan’s “brother” playing drums on a tea set. The same tea set that came alive in Beauty and the Beast. So guess who inherited the famous tea set? Belle’s beloved granddaughter, Jane.
